Using reason/axiom25/ableton mixer question

I am using Reason 4.0 with my Axiom-25 to play instruments through ableton. I have 3 seperate MIDI tracks setup, all assigned to differnt inputs from reason in the external instrument box in ableton. Example. MIDI track1 is assigned to Thor in reason as input1/2, Redrum is set to 3/4 and Subtractor is set to 5. In ableton they are all assigned accordingly and all of them play fine when I arm the individual tracks. But when I play any instrument, whether it is assigned to 1/2, 3/4. or input 5, the only volume bar(track mixer) that moves is the first track's mixer. If that makes sense. Like if I play the 2nd track > input 3/4, the mixer volume bar(in ableton) in the first track: 1/2 registers it and the volume bar in that track doesnt move at all. Is this normal? Why does the external instrument track not register the assigned track in the mixer section of that track? lol Let me say track one more time >< Sorry if this is confusing but it's the best i can explain. Thanks for the help!!

Are you using a mixer device in reason?
Because the audio inputs you can select with lives "external instrument" device are routed from the hardware interface. If you stick a mixer in between in reason, all the devices lead to the mixer and that then sends the whole signal the outputs 1/2 of the hardware interface.

I am a little confused. Yes, in reason I have 3 instruments. Thor, Malestrum, and Redrum. I use one main mixer at the top of reason when you open a new document. Tabbed over to see the back, thor in 1/2, malestrom 3/4, and redrum in 5. In Ableton, Thor is assigned 1/2, maletrom 3/4, and Redurm 5/6. They all still register in 1/2. Is that what you mean? Do I need a mixer inbetween each instrument in Reason? Like one mixer per?

no, no mixer in between. The very to device (says "hardware device" on the left on the back) - which leads to the various outputs of your audiointerface when running stand alone - is where you plug the synths in. Was just asking as many people having similar problems set up their rack as they would in standalone mode with a 14:2 mixer inbetween, route all devices to the mixer and then only 1 stereo signal to outputs 1/2.
