ABLETON REP PLEASE - Live4 Warps compatible with Live3 ?

Ive a number of files which have been warp-marked with Live 4, i want to play them out on a machine which has Live3 installed but the warpmarkers are not there when the files are opened in Live3.
Is there a a way to resolve this beyond having to warpmark all the files in v3 again ?

You would LOGICALLY be better off working the reverse way.
Warp all audio files in Live 3.0 and save .
That way they will work in both Live 4.0 and 3.0 .
Logically I'd expect Live 3 files to be upwardly compatible.
However I would not have expected Live 4.0 files to be backwardly compatible myself.

as you've said, you just want to "play them out" , so....
you could load the live 4 demo on the Live 3 machine.
open work done in Live 4 from the other machine.... and play it via the Live 4 Demo.
as long as you dont want to use any save functions, it would work in a performance setting.

So the only restriction on the Live4 demo is saving ?

AFAICS the Demo is 30 day limited so this is not a solution.
So, i ask again -
Is there any way that files warpmarked in v4 can be opened in v3 & retain their warpmarks ?
Thx.

where do you see thats its 30 day limited?
its a demo, not a trial... you can run it for as long as you want, but you cannot save, render to disk, or resample.
it IS a solution.

I'm new to all this - but would this work?
i) Perform a Live set with the Live 4 demo.
ii) Tweak the set afterwards in the arranger view.
iii) Play the set through from start to finish.
Now - the bit I'm not sure about...
iv) Have the soundcard master out going to a line in on your DJ mixer.
v) Have the master out of the DJ mixer going to the soundcards line in.
vi) Record the Live set as a .wav/.mp3 in Cooledit.
vii) Burn to CD and impress every one you know with your skills and musical taste.
Would this work?
PS - This would also solve my problem of not having an EQ 3 in Live 2...
Could I set up all the warp markers and save all the loops/clips in Live 3 then use them in the Live 4 demo? I'm not trying to cheat the guys at Ableton - just trying to find a workround until I can afford the Live 4 upgrade.

if you dont use an external mixer, and mix it all in ableton,
then instead of using cooledit..
for PC, theres a free VST plugin called TapeIT 1
http://www.silverspike.com/Download/download.html
put it in your master channel at the very end, it records 8, 16, 24 or 32bit .wav files. (stereo or mono)
and yea you can take all your Live 3 saved work and "perform with it in Live 4"
you'd have to launch new EQ3's each time, but its a temporary work around

Thanks, AdamJay. I'm over the moon that I can now perform and use EQ 3 and get a CD copy of the set! Just one other question before I get home and try it: Do you know how this plug-in effects the cpu usage while you're running Live?

its certainly more cpu intensive than EQ4, but its certainly no hog.
on my athlon 64 3000 laptop.. it takes 2% if set to 48 dB, and 1% if set to 24 dB, if you're just trying to mimmick a DJ mixer EQ, 24dB would be fine as 48 dB is more intended for hipass and lowpass filtering effects.
so on a (much) weaker computer i cant see it taking more than 5% of your cpu resources per instance of EQ3.
