my band had one for a while, the sounds aren't very exciting, you can load up to 3 samples, that's not enough to me.. looks impressive on a buss or on a plane, but not so much on a stage, people get bored of it really easily and it's expensive too, really expensive. it's good to see someone like yamaha doing something that experimental, and not for everybody, but it costs to much for what it does!

Is that a serious statement? Or just sarcasm?

Any instrument with a bagpipe preset is fine by me - its where the Voyager is lacking IMO.
Had one, used it, posed with it, got bored with it and quickly sold it.

I played with one last summer and this it is a super cool idea, I just couldn't imagine spending the money on it. I loved 'playing' with it, but can't imagine actually performing with it.

I really want one of these, but I don't want to pay nearly £700 for it! I could have TWO Monomes for that money. If it came down to something more reasonable (for a 'niche' instrument... maybe £400?) I'd certainly selling some kit to get one.

I don't think anyone on the forum has posted that they bought one and love it. a few users might have one but there's more talk about these than use of them.
outrageously priced toy. (toys can be cool.)

Always thought of a Tenori On like the big brother of my kaossilator...
Speaking of which, anyone looking for a used kaossilator?

I think the few live uses of it have really added to the performance element - especially due to its dual-sided visibility. Apart from the famous Little Boots performance, I've seen To Rococo Rot use it on stage and found it definitely added something so the audience could link the visuals to the audio - not just checking emails on it...
Still, too expensive though...

I had two for testing before they went on sale and they didn't inspire me much. Yes, it is very flashy and that can be cool on stage or as a clock in your studio (it is actually written as a "feature" in the manual that it can be used this way), but way overpriced for what it can do.
