Live has encountered an error and will shut down

Hi all,

first let me say that I love Live 4 - simply awesome! BUT... I keep running into problems when working on pretty simple stuff (putting together a mix set) and I get the above mentioned error. When I go to re-open the file, I keep getting the same message when I click on scenes - I can click on ok and keep working, but when I save and try to open again, the same thing happens until eventually I'll get a windows error and it shuts live down completely. I have lost HOURS of work because of this problem and an now running behind on some projects. In some cases I am using nothing external to live (no vsti's, effetcs, etc) - is anyone else running into this? I would love to get an answer because this is getting VERY frustrating!

My System:

Live 4
Dell Inspiron 8600 Intel Centrino 1.5Mhz
1G RAM
7200RPM HD
MAudio Firewire 410
Win XP (SP1)

any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Kleine! A multitute of logs have been sent your way, and I have a whole lot more where those came from.

Live now crashes for me at least 3 times a day. It's getting to the point where I cannot work in live 4 anymore - I may revert back to 3 until I can figure out what the hell is going on! Thanks agian Kleine, mucho appreciated!

I have yet to hear back from support - this is ridiculous. I work in the tech supprt realm myself and would never leave a customer without any communication for 3 WEEKS!

I realize you guys are busy and have released 2 updates - but still, simple email telling me that I could try updating would've been nice (or any sort of trouble shooting ideas - reinstall even). I sent in a TONNE of logs, still haven't heard anything back. Admittedly, the .03 release has caused Live to stop freezing as regularly as before, but I still get the above mentioned error from time to time. And it has corrupted some of my song files. In other words I have lost tracks. Is this a lost cause?

Frustrated user.

Again, love the product when it works, but there is no way in hell I would use this in a live performence at this point, way to unstable (for me).

thanks Alex - the logs have been sent in.

However, I just got back from a business, went to start up live - everything starts up great, but I cannot click on any of the transport controls?!?! I try to hit space bar to play a song, and nothing happens? I see the play button being 'virtually pushed in', but live does not play anything (I have also tried clickinng on it). I tried hitting the scenes play button, but again nothing?!?! I have no idea what is wrong. It was working before I left, now I can't even play a song. Frustrating.

I'm going to reinstall and see if that has any effect.

Frustrated user....

reinstall fixed the transport bar issue - still pretty weird though!
