Use Itunes for your Sample Library and Browser, it works

and its free.
allows you to rate your samples and find your favorites easily as well as keep them organized, plus its for mac and pc.

Except that you cannot drag the sample once you find it, but have to get-info /show-location to find the path of the sample, then you go into ableton trying to remember that name.. nah.. fuck that!

Please support dragdrop operations in ableton. I am really really really fed up with that browser now

Just activate that little arrow key at the top of your browser window pane to the left of your main work area and viola

I wish the browser window had more buttons to set up to reference even more locations - know what I mean

but I'm down to try the Itunes thing
