How we do in Bmore
Re: How we do in Bmore
I applaud this. Sounds like self defense was justified and he totally manned up with his weapon of choice. Obama needs to tip his beer to this guy.

LOLOLOLOOOL
The police spokesman said the student who wielded the weapon had no advanced sword training. "He wasn't a ninja," Guglielmi said. "He may have been moderately trained or on the intermediate level."

Re: How we do in Bmore
I lived in that neighborhood for many years, just moved out two years ago.
The immediate John's Hopkins area is all priveledged rich kid students, while the immediately surrounding areas are straight up ghetto. Robbery's and break-ins are just a part of everyday life, as the ghetto kids come in to prey on the rich kids (who are often partying and leaving their windows open and doors unlocked). Everyday single day some car would have its window broken from a smash-and-grab right out in front of my apartment, which was on a main street. I got robbed in my sleep - they came in through the bathroom window on the fire escape and took a guitar and boom box. I was on the other end of the apartment, and very glad I they didn't come into my room! :-0
It is what it is, but props to the ninja student. Now the dead guy's family is trying to sue or something, saying he didn't deserve to die because he was unarmed, when in fact he was actually unhanded...

Best comment ever:
You are in a garage. You see some storage boxes,
a lawn mower, and some tools. In front of you is a
homeowner with a samurai sword. Exits are: pried-
open garage door.
>lunge at homeowner
Homeowner attacks you with samurai sword. His
prowess with a blade is surprising. You look down
to see your nearly-severed hand hanging limply.
You vision begins to blur as you stumble about the
room. The room goes dark.
You are dead. THE END.

Holy shit. Poor guys probably going to get charged with some bs crime. Hopefully he will have a good lawyer. I have a samurai sword in my house just in case I get cut off from my shot gun or my pistol while someone is robbing me. thank god I dont live in baltimore and probably never have to use it.
Re: How we do in Bmore
What a great story. I'm sure the guy won't get charged, he was defending himself after being burgled earlier the same day. Fair play to him.

No disrespect to the [poster but my mind just boggles when i see comments such as:
"Holy shit. Poor guys probably going to get charged with some bs crime. Hopefully he will have a good lawyer. Thank god I live in London - all we have to deal with is sporadic and much (media)hyped knife crime. . .

I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

Yep. I'm sick of the way this is constantly hyped out of all proportion..tw1nstates wrote: Thank god I live in London - all we have to deal with is sporadic and much (media)hyped knife crime. . .
