Wanted to pick everyone's brain to get recommendations on DJ style effects that I can put on my master channel, and the correct way to go about it. I own Live 8 Suite and I am really looking for stuff that doesn't cause huge spikes or drops in the audio when applied and I am not sure how to do it right - (compressor/limiter combo at the end of the effect rack perhaps?).

I've browsed through Live's "Performance and DJ" audio effect presets and while they are good, I wanted to see if anyone has a particular effect/rack that they absolutely love.

I own the APC 40 and ideally i picture setting up a rack to hold about 8 effects that I macro each knob to 'effect on/off' and some how set up a 'wet/dry' amount per knob/effect. I figure this would be the best way to avoid any surprises and have the most control over the sound, but suggestion are welcomed.

Lastly, i'm trying to achieve this polished sounding effects setup using only Live effects.

Say hello to insomnia for me, tarekiths efx are UNREAL. Super luper is the best efx ive ever come across, anywhere.

Im not putting them on the master ch though, is it better to have efx on master?

No, but if you personally prefer it, there's nothing wrong with that. The link above is my most recent efx pack, with Super Luper v2 btw.

Tarekith's are great, as are Joesapo's.

Pioneer charging over 2 grand for their new CDJ, thier top mixer in that range too, and NOTHING even close to what can be done with some of the stuff clever users on this board have whipped up. God I love Live:)

was blown away buy a handful of your racks. especially super luper...my only problem is super luper v2 wont load!
its the only one of the bunch that wont drop in! :O

You need yhe latest version of Live for v2, sorry.

I really like your effects Tarekith! I've been using them for about a month now, and I have yet to find better!

These effects are great. I played around a little last night and am integrating them into my set this afternoon. Really useful stuff.

The Super Looper is great!!! Wish it stopped the track like the CDJ's but can't complain. Great Job and keep up the good work!! Cheers!!
