How to copy midi data only and not automation?

Hi there...Does anyone know if this is possible? I want to select all my midi clips then hold control to copy and lift into a new secion of the arrange window but I dont want to take autmation data with it. I just want the raw midi clips....?..

Any help much appreciated

It's a pain depending on how many automated parameters you have per clip, but it can be done. See the pic below to reference. You need to send each automated parameter into its own automation lane (the + in the bottom right of the track). Depending how many automated parameters you have, it could take up a ton of screen space. Turn the lock on so it's orange. This will lock the automation to it's position, not the midi data. Then select just the midi data by selecting the top section of the track where you see the notes. Hold shift, do the next track and so on until you have only the midi data selected of all clips. When all selected, hold CTRL, click and drag from one of the clip's "headers" (the top border that contains the name).

Notice in the pic the automation lanes are not selected.

Depending how many tracks/parameters youre talking about, it may be easier to even just copy and then delete the automation out of each.

You don't need to do that, just copy and paste with the lock icon on(orange), that's it.
