For some reason I can only record midi cc's into clip envelopes in the session view.

Is it supposed to be this way?

The only way to automate or record CCs is in clip view. I automate CCs regularly for my outboard synths, and haven't found a need to automate them from arrangement. How does clip CC automation not achieve your goal?

Clip automation is OK, I just can't record it when I'm in the arrangement view.

I have to copy the clip into a new clip in the session view, so I figured there has
to be a more efficient way to do it.
