Hello,

Select the MIDI tracks and use the consolidate command from the Edit menu.

then you are consolidating them to two different tracks.
thats not merging, thats consolidating.

no, you cant merge per se, you can however send them to a new midi track and record the midi there.

yes, or you can simply do a copy/paste operation which works also pretty quick.

I use entire MIDI tracks to change patches on my Eventide units in th emiddle of songs. When I consolidate them, they retain only the first patch change command, and lose the subsequent ones. I need to get these tracks consolidated so they dont import to sennion view as a whole stack of patch change clips, but just ONE clip. Any ideas?

I was wondering about this too. Glad to know it's already been officially answered — thanks!

I use midipipe http://homepage.mac.com/nicowald/SubtleSoft/ to convert notes into patch changes then in a single clip I cab have a whole bunch of notes doing numerous patch changing.
