Hi there,
Just installed the most recent beta (Live & Max).
I assume the tutorials are still supposed to be in Max5/Examples/M4L.Examples/Devices, are they?
But in there, for instance when I open the folder "BeatGenerator.tutorial Project" (same with the others), I see internal folders (Max Devices, Samples...) but no Ableton Live file that I can open. The sub-folder "Max Devices" also contains no device.
Normal?
I must be looking in the wrong place. Let me know where I should look, thanks!

The tutorial files moved to the Ableton Library/Lessons. If you can't see them there, install the MaxForLive pack by double-clicking on Max5 folder/support/LivePacks/MaxForLive.alp.

Unless we have a bug, you should have been prompted to install the MaxForLive.alp Live Pack automatically when launching Live for the first time after installing both of the latest betas.

Did this not happen?

I can confirm that there are no .als files in Ableton Library beta/Lessons. (in my case I made a copy of the library and renamed. I checked if they where in the old 8.0.5. lib but no.)
There are folders and sub-folders text files and tiffs.

Yes, that worked fine.

The lessons are in the "Sets" sub-folder in the "Lessons" folder. But the way to access them is to have the right pane open (Menu Help -> Help View) then to click on "Next page" until you find the live set you want to load.

Dennis, I was never prompted to install the tutorial pack when going from 8.1b3 to 8.1b4 on OSX 10.5.8.

I had to spelunk for it and install it manually.

Same experience over here. Sounds like there's a bug.
