Every time the subject of music get bought up he tries to spew this shit about how great pro tools is and how its the industry standard and he can teach me if i want (oh thanks asshole). But he never can come up with an exact reason why its so much better. What can i tell this noob to get him to stfu?

Just ask him how many other programs has he sat down and really worked with.

You bought Live right? so you like it better. its up to him to prove that you don't like it better.

Ask that guy if Pro Tools is such a great app, why can't it run on non digidesign hardware or no harware? It sucks that I need my MBox 2 to open old Pro Tools files. Digidesign is just greedy.
