basic mixing question

It's probably a good thing I gave up intoxicants a few years ago, because I should remember this, but after some time away from recording, it don't.
Very basic...
You record multiple tracks, and then you want to run them all through a single reverb unit, to create the image of acoustic "distance" (like, the vocalist is close and the drums are further away, etc.) To control that sense of distance, basically your mixing the flat version with the reverb version. How do you route that in Live? What mixer control ends up controlling the sense of distance?
appreciate any help...
