Controller advice.

I unloaded almost all my old controllers and recently got a Remote 25 SL and I kept my old handy Korg padKONTROL.
I am considering the following. Which would go best do you think with the two I have now.
1. APC40
2. Livid OHM Classic (not 64)
3. Nocturn and Launchpad
Thoughts?
I've never had a problem spending a weekend mapping my controllers and saving templates...so immediacy is not an issue for me.

Apc 40 is good. Ohm64 is my current obsession. I would stay away from the old one, I used to use it but it is not so good with live (no feedback)

Nocturn + Launchpad. Run farmpad on your padkontrol for everything else if you have a mac.

If you have the remote 25, than I doubt that you would need the nocturn. I'd just get the launchpad then. I love my apc40, but I have to admit that if I'd known about the launchpad, I may have waited since I have a remote zero.
Or you could get the apc40, and dedicate the remote 25 to automapped plugins, in which case the apc would be for clip launching, mixing, sends and basic tweaking. This is how I'm using them together currently.

is there any way to make a remote 25 work like an apc?
I mean for devices control only

In what way? The remote can auto map to live's parameters for levels, pan and sends; it will auto map to a selected device in live's rack and it's mixer section "grows" with however many tracks you ad. It does cover things pretty well.

APC hands down. It will serve you the best in the long run IMO.

thanks
It can automap a selected device but can you
select a specific device and browse devices of other tracks as easy as apc?
for example a button to select a track
and then +/- buttons to go to a specific device?
or you have to click with the mouse a device to enable its automap ?

Oh, no you do have to select the device to automap with your mouse... unless someone else knows a trick?

The least expensive way to get this funtionality in a midi controller is to get the Korg nanoKontrol and install the free midi remote script
nanoKontrol Myr
Nanokontrol has 4 scenes and the Myr script comes with scene 3's bottom buttons mapped like this:
Button 10 = Track Left
Button 11 = Track Right
Button 12 = Device Left
Button 13 = Device Right
Button 14 = Bank 1
Button 15 = Bank 2
Button 16 = Device On/Off
Button 17 = Clip View/Device View

Since live 8 you can map the blue hand (ie set a midi button or querty key to select a device). So one could midimap the buttons on the left hand of the remote sl to the different devices and then by pressing one of them you get imediate control over the device.
