Does anybody know of a decent and affordable gritty spring reverb plugin for mac?

When you say 'not particularly realistic' do you mean not a natural sounding reverb, or not a realistic emulation of a spring reverb?

I'm looking for good spring reverb plugins.

Have you tried the AU reverb that comes free with OSX? It's actually pretty good, although I don't know if it has a "spring reverb" setting, as I use it pretty sparingly.
