I can't find a Tape Stop effect anywhere (the effect where the song actually slows down, and drops it's pitch)! Any ideas where i can find one? I found a free one for PC, but nothing for us Mac people! Any suggestions, or help would be much appreciated!

set warp to repitch, then automate the tempo slowing down.

Hi, this has been asked a few times on here already - just search for "tapestop" and you'll get some useful plug-in info for both mac and pc. Here's one for you:

Heres how i did it. Crop the part of the song you want to have slow down. Then pop that into the sampler. Next, go to modulation and turn on the aux. Set A = Pitch and turn it up or down how ever much you want the clip to slow down or speed up. Then mess with the attack, decay, release, time<Vel, loop, etc until you get desired effect. If your trying to do this when you dj just make sure its about the same volume as the original track your playing... then just switch over. Hope this helps

Efectrix is a great plugin which has lots of tape stop effects. It isn't free but worth the money. Supatrigga is a free plugin with random tape stop effects. All you have to do is resample it on top of your audio and then go back through and pick the parts you like and consolidate them, works pretty well.

Turntablist should help. I'm looking at something similar to glue the break to the main part, that isn't a typical break down type bridge. There's a PC and Mac VST version out there too, the AU version is just the newest and improved.
