Some VSTs causing entire tracks to mute?

I think this is another Snow Leopard bug because it wasn't happening a few months back but I've found that a few synths (Albino 3, Minimoog) will sometimes mute everything in a track I'm working on. Everything will be playing fine and then these synths start playing everything mutes. Sometimes if I mute them the rest of the track will play okay and other times everything will just stay mute.

Similarly, sometimes if the synths are playing it will cause all the audio to only come out of the left speaker. When I mute the synth everything goes back to dual. Very odd and have no idea why this would happen.

Anyone having similar problems or ideas about what's causing this?

update:
Auto filter does it too now. Hmmm... very strange. I deleted it and re-added a new filter and everything was working fine again. Weird!

This isn't happening to anyone else? It's not just VSTs like I said. Autofilter seems to be causing it a lot as well as limiter.

Everytime I open a file, I have to go through each channel and find which plugin/effect is causing everything to be muted, delete it, then undo and that audio returns.

Not the worst thing in the world but still very annoying and not a clue what's causing this.

Hi Danman,

I cannot reproduce a problem over here. When it happens next time with Autofiler/Limiter, please save the set as it is and send the .als file to [email protected]

Best,
Jörg

If you have any PSP Audioware plugins, try removing them and see if the problem still occurs.
