is it possible to trigger the master section via MIDI ??

Hi all,
I'm new to Live and considered buying it.
I play drums and uses samplers live with my acoustic set up. I often doing gigs where i trigger different loops from my samplers ( S5000 ) using my DrumKat midi controller. Can i do this with Live ? and can i trigger from the Master section using midi ?? Thanks
