It would be nice if it were possible to push a button in order to instantly (for lack of a better word) "glue" all VSTi and VSTe (that is, insert effect) parameter settings to session clips.

Then it would be feaible to copy the clip to the next slot, expiriment a bit, but to go back to the original clip and instantly have all settings back as they were "glued" to the original clip. Each clip would contain a different "snapshot" of the parameter settings.

Moreover, perhaps it would be possible to set up session clips with different VST parameters and instantly create an arrangement in which the different clip parameter settings are translated to automation curves.

No idea if such a thing could be implemented, but it would certainly add to the Live experience.

I think if they enable this feature, then it would be feasible to support mine. So, I'm with you. I guess you would either have to copy all the VSTs & FX to the new Track to make your idea work or use my suggested Copy Track feature. I say copy vs duplicate, because I'd want to copy to another instance of Live.[/url]

Indeed, I've been hoping for this feature ever since I started with Live 2 years ago. Actually, I don't use plugins, but if this idea would work with the built-in effects I'd be plenty happy.
