which is your workaround / plugin to insert silence into a clip / loop.

I usually click "Insert silence"

i usually have to click edit and edit the file in wavelab or melodyne which is cool but expensive in any way.

i am looking for a plugin (not a gate) that does the work.

actually i was looking for sth like the scutphuzz vst plugin which is discussed at a thread above.
