hello all,

new here, but happy Live user since 1.0, and i have issue that came up some time ago.

whenever i start live version 3 or 4, the taskmanager lists a 100% cpu usage (empty or loaded live set) whereas the program itself only lists the (probably) actual usage (1% with empty session).

I did not used to have this in earlier times.

I'm on a acer travelmate 800 laptop and the 100% cpu usage causes the cpu fan to kick in. this all is ofcourse a bit annoying, working with a silent pc is preferred

are other users having the same experience?? i'm unsure what to do about it and am happy to see what your experience is with the above.

which operating system do you use and hoch much RAM is installed in your computer?

Do you have the 100% too if you switch to "No Audio" in Live's Audio Preferences?

ah yes, that was a bit short from my side..

I run XPsp1 with 512MB RAM. I have RME and Digidesign asio drivers installed on my system.

and yes, the same thing happens when audio is disabled. 100% in taskmanager.
