I "accidentally" won another expensive guitar on eBay (damn you bidnapper!) so these are back up for sale :

You need a strategy. I find my partners powers of discrimination are not very good when it comes to guitars so I do things like:

• Put them all in very similar gig bags so they all look the same

• Following on, I only have one out on a stand at a time

• I only buy guitars off ebay if I can collect. This has two advantages. First, if they are grossly mis-described I could just say no. Second, I can arrange to bring them home when the gf is not at home

• The guitars I put on a box so they come up to the same hight as the basses

• Put one or two in the wardrobe so they aren't all together

This combination has allowed me to sneak a few in un-noticed.

Nope. She is very generous and tolerates my GAS addiction. Which is why I feel so bad about getting a little bit smashed and leaving a bid on a flash guitar.
