hi..

anybody know how to achieve this sorta reverb? it has this dark, deep sound to it, cant really explain it..

(i got better examples ill post them as soon as i find them)

Sounds like any reverb set to wet but the secret to the deep is a Low Pass filter.

That just what I think anyway. Hope that helps

some laser gun efx with an analog style synth: sawtooth wave osc through a highpass filter with high resonance, modulated by a saw tooth lfo (the piou piou piou) and a slow envelope closing the filter over time. all into a delay and a reverb.

Check out the free Glaceverb... it does this effect extremely well... don't let the "free" fool you...

its a pretty cool plugin i managed to get a hold of it but i dont think thats it tho. i couldnt manage to get it anywhere near the effect i posted

the dude who designed those sounds is a live user as well tho so most likely this is a thing that can be done purely in live

That sounds like a tape delay. I would use some analog delay to get the effect if I couldn't afford a real tape unit. Borrow someone's Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man for example. It distorts quite nicely

Also try out some spring reverbs out there, they might do it for you, if you want more reverby than delayed sound.

Turn Reflect way (I have -21) down on Reverb, bump the Predelay up a ways. 100 or 200 size. Decay Time to taste. Add a filter to cut out the highs or something.
