Denormals are making it impossible to use Live for live gigs

I get second-long dropouts/cpu spikes from denormals real bad with Live. I've tried using digitalfishphones' normalizer in the chain behind the plugin that's making sound, and that isn't helping either. This occurs with both native Live gear like sampler or drum racks, and with VSTis. It doesn't matter how many tracks I have, even a single track will produce the errors. It's not regular CPU load either. I've tried the same plugins in another VST host (Polac VSTi in Buzz) and I get no denormals there.
Help me, please! This makes Live totally unusable for performances!

Probably need to post your system specs.

Everyone it seams are getting weird CPU behaviour.
Funny thing is Live was solid in v7 no such issues, so it must be something that has changed in Live 8.
Unfortunately there is no way to take Sets or Clips back to old v7 for performing live stability.
Woot....a Piece of software you cannot use.!!!

Have you tried running Live in Rewire. Oddly, I've seen people getting better behaviour this way. Only a couple, but it might help.

Actually, I've encountered denormalization errors in Live 7 that are fixed in Live 8.
Here's an example:

If you can show the denormalization error in a small rack - send them to Ableton support.
I have not encountered any denorm problems in Live 8.
I have an Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor. Pentiums probably behave a little differently.
Anytime you see the CPU stay high, stack on 6 or 7 Utilities at maximum gain. If you see a signal that was about -100 db before that gain, you probably have a denorm bug example.
