My APC's getting a little brother after Halloween!

I reckon... I spoke to one of the guys in Digital Village today & they said they were expecting 600, that sounds like enough.

the APC is made by Akai.
the Launch Pad is made by Novation.
there's no relation between the two.

they might both have Ableton stenciled onto them but you might as well be asking about the release of the Akai MPD with the Novation SL.

Akai screwed up their release with long waits and screwing the Eurogoons with pricing. there's no reason to think Novation would do the same, there's no reason to think they won't do worse. time will tell. hope for the best, expect the worst.

i just spoke to audiomidi and they said they got 250 coming in and only 30-40 backorders, so I dont think it will be much of a problem

guitar center already has them in the store they were told not to release them until the nov 1, but I was told that they are on the premises.

call me crazy but I like knowing I can run down to an actual store and buy a piece of tech.

i'm the same. however, I'm also at the unique advantage that not only do I have mutliple guitar centers, sam ashes, and other music tech stores in my neighborhood...but I'm also a 5 minute drive from audiomidi's HQ so I can just pop over there with cash in hand and check out my stuff in person.

Went down and picked up an APC40 ($325), after reading it.
Well let's see how it goes. The Launchpad will work real nice with the APC.
