i have trilogy atmosphere and the other beat box vsti ( cant remember the name)
anyway.
I have both Au and VST versions installed

The Vst version works fine

but

the Au versions cannnot find the DAT file ( sound content).

any ideas to why and how to fix it?

for others this is the soloution

Make an alias of the .dat file from the VST folder and put it into the
Components folder. Hold down apple+option and drag the .dat file to the
components folder. The alias cannot have the word "alias" or any spaces or
it won't be read by the plugin.

The pathway is hd/library/audio/plugins/VST and Components.

I have the same problem but even though i create an alias
It still has the same problem.

I renamed it "trilogy.dat" from "trilogy.dat alias"

you have to follow the instructions properly and then it will work. If you simple create an alias ie " .datalias" it wont work.

I did everything it said
and i did not leave it as .dat alias

1Created alias form original trilogy.dat folder
2put alias in components folder with au plug.
3changed trilogy.dat alias name to trilogy.dat.

thats what i did step by step exactly how it describes.
am i missing something?

Hold down apple+option and drag the original.dat file to the
components folder.


This will create the alias automatically and without the .dat alias ext.


Try doing this . itll work

I own Trilogy and Atmosphere. No problems here. Email Spectrasonics support if you own these.
