live remote control

There is a tutorial patch on cycling 74's site called live_remote_control.amxd

This is probably the feature I wanted most right off the bat from Max4Live. I can hook it up to get parameters from Audio Effects, but I'm not able to get them from Instruments. Anyone have an idea of what to do?

Granted, I have not looked too deeply into live.path, live.remote~, live.object, etc.

You might notice the message box that says "goto live_set tracks 0 devices 0 parameters $1". This means, look at the live set, in track 0, look at device 0, and then point to a parameter. So, as is, this device is designed to look at the first device of the first track only. Have a look at the included M4L.api examples (you can find an overview in the Extras menu in Max) to get a better idea of how it all works.
