Modulated Parameters dont always respond to short loop lengths and shallow curves.

Place a Live.dial in device and link it to a parameter.

Connect the dial to a number box.

In a clip create a sawtooth envelope from 0 to 127 over 100 bars or so.

Create a 1 bar loop and play it - works fine here.

If you shorten the loop enough, the parameter value is not always updated when the loop goes back to the beginning.

If you duplicate the clip and redraw the clip envelope so it is from 0 to 127 over 1 bar or so, then the modulated parameter always responds.

On my rig, I am able to loop 1 measure of a 2000 measure ramp, resulting in what looks like about a .0006 delta on the trigger.

I don't see problems with retriggering, but I certainly do see some sluggishness in the event cue at that resolution, especially as I take the tempo up.

My patch is very simple: a param~ connected to a number~ connected to a single pattr, parameter enabled, in absolute mode.

At this level, the loop editor won't let me reduce to sub-measure loop sizes.

As I posted in the thread on the discussion forum, this still seems to be true for 8.1b9/5.1b9

Only posting really because I tested it when the beta came out and thought it was fixed.

But it ain't.
