So I am in the arrgement view with my guitar plugged in via my sound card. Whatever I do I cannot get signal into both left and right of the track I am recording into. What is the trick to fix this. In audio preferences I have tried Input Config but when I disable the knob that says 1/2 (stereo) whatever that may imply, the only thing that happens is that the arm button at the track dies.

do you not also have 1 (mono) and 2 (mono) next to the stereo 1/2 column?

if not then your sound card may not support mono inputs

Can you enable 1 (mono) and 2 (mono) in your input config?

If not you can fix it with the utility device if you have to.
