Hi there
I'm currently using Live 8.04 suite. I wish to update to 8.09 suite.
Do I need to download and install the whole suite or do I download just 8.09 update?

Does that mean that it will be like re-installing live from scratch?

Not quite because it will check your old library and eventually update it.
Also it will leave your personal device presets etc. intact.

Granted when you open up the updated Live 8 it updates the libraries and stuff, but now I have 2 versions of Live 8 sitting on my hard drive. So even though it updates it is still like it's installed twice - the old version and the updated version.

It is somewhat confusing, especially when they don't give a lot of details regarding the updating process.

well be careful if you uninstall the original to free up space. You might have to re authorize if you do.

its really lame when you are on a plane from one coast to the other, you whip out your laptop to do some mixing and you find out you can't save...
