I put covers on all my gear when I am not using it. I am starting to think that this is a little ott. What do you do?
Cheers

Nah, I used to be really anal about that, but now I don't bother... I mean I still clean/dust the stuff now and again, but no covers.

I used to not put cover on my keyboard. Then everytime I played with it, it was dusty and it stops my creativity.
Now, evertime I dont use my gears, I put cover on them. (except when I take a break)
And once a week, I pass a duster so everything is clean.
Now, what does mean OTT ?
Thanks.

I've not got any 'gear' to speak of, but if I did have I'd put covers on it for sure - my house gets dusty as fuck at the best of times! When the Block arrives, I shall - without fail - be making some kind of dust cover for it. I want that bad boy looking new for a very long time to come.

I don't have dust covers but i dust my gear every couple of days.
It's just not nice having dead skin and other nasties covering things.

Covers all the way! I used to take to my old kit with the Servisol switch cleaner spray but this was always the begining of the end for said piece of kit.

The plastic wrapping in which gear arrives comes in handy. I use it to cover all my stuff whenever they are not in use.
Maybe it is OTT but I want them to last for years, and that means no dust.

^ Also, keep the foam from the box whenever you get new gear.
It's a no brainer, it'll work perfect for padding inside of a bag or whatever you might carry your stuff around in.

I use custom covers for all my gear, I get them made at lecover.com. Definitely keeps things from getting too dusty, worth the price IMO.

i use my gear enough to where it doesnt even really get dusty at all, and if does i use a cloth to clean it, doesnt bother me at all as it used to

wine tastes better when the bottle is covered in dust.
so therefore?
