bug while recording in Live with Motu 828 or rewire

Ibook, os 9.1, Motu 828, 684 mgs ram, Live 1.5.2, Reason 2.0

Hi, as I record Reason into a Live track while a few clips are looping, I get crazy cracking sounds, the tempo slows down and all the input leds on the Motu flick like crazy... I had the same bug when recording a bass trough the Motu...
I tried that with a 256 samples per buffer on the Motu...
I don't find that very cool... Very disapointing to say the least and stay polite...
I know a Ibook is not a Titanium, but I can record with DP 3 perfectly...
What I'm a doing wrong?...
thanx

This is interesting, I have similar problems with a totally different setup. I have a sony pc, pentium 4, 512 mgs of ram with an EZbus usb soundcard. I was attributing my problems to the usb soundcard(which I know does create some bandwidth limitations..especially with windows xp). In my case I don't have any problem recording reason through rewire but when I try to record anything through my sound card It slows way down and crackles which makes it hard(impossible actually) to play something in time.

hmmmm?

hummmmmm...

It'd be nice to hear what they have to say about this... It's been two weeks since I posted the first message...

I'm having a similar problem. I use Live 1.5 and a MOTU 828. When I record a track it doesn't effect the tempo of Live's performance, but the soundbyte will have several crackly skips, as though a cable had a bad connection and cut out intermittently while recording. This isn't the case though. The skips are maybe half a second long at times and sound very digital.

Any thought? Anyone? Anywhere?
Please help me enjoy Live as much as everyone else is!
