Several plugins that I used regularly in Live 7.15 (IK Multimedia Ampeg SVX and Abbey Road Brilliance Pack) will not display as available after upgrading to Live 8. I have tried uninstall/reinstall, putting the dll's in the plugin folder manually, rescanning the folder, everything I can think of. I also recently performed a "clean install' upgrade to Windows 7 64. Any ideas would be appreciated.

disable user account control (UAC), reboot and try it again.

do you really have had live 7 with your mentioned plug-ins running on the windows 7 64 bit platform already?

Disabling UAC was a good idea, but the plugins are still missing.

The plugins worked in Live 7.15 under Vista, not Windows 7 64.

where is your plug-in folder? are the IK Multimedia Ampeg SVX and the Abbey Road Brilliance Pack the only ones not showing up in live 8? do other plug-ins run in live 8 on your 64 bit machine ?

Plugins located in C:\Programs(x86)\Vstplugins. Then subfolders by type, Drums, Guitar, Synths, Vocal EFX, etc.

All other plugins show up and work fine, including my UAD powered plugins.

Same thing here. It seems none of my IK products are showing up in live 8.0.9 since I upgraded to Win 7 x64. (CSR, Miroslav, T-Racks Singles)

Ditto - Amplitube 2 and XGear, SampleTank2 SE, T-Racks - none of my IK stuff is showing up in 8.1 (Win 7 32).

theres another thread about this, seems to be a known ableton bug.

Same issue with T-Racks Deluxe on 8.1

I found a workaround involving the Automap program that came with my Novation keyboard controller.

I found that Automap saw those plugins where Live did not. If you include the plugins for automation, they then become available in Live on the next startup.
