I'm going to use Live to make a mix CD for a friend. Is there any way to create it so that the tracks are separate allowing my friend to play any song he wants on the mix (as opposed to it being just one continuous track)?

Using Live 7

Hi,

Here's some earlier threads on this:

- though the threads are old, the info is still applicable to the latest version of Live.

Hope that helps...

I think you will need an audio editing program to do this.

the way i would do it
render each track separately from lives arrange view import into itunes
group them using the same info album name etc etc
burn play list and make sure gapless audio is checked

Hey Guys,
Funny, just did a lesson on this (actually for recording from vinyl, but skip the 'unwarped' part and you should be fine. It's in Live 8 but I believe it all works in Live 7 too:

Make the mix, render to a stereo file, use the split command to make the cuts where u want the tracks to start, disable warp in each chunk then render each chunk separately (no normalise) and just burn the tracks in order with zero gap.
