There's been an extraordinary amount of soul baring going on in the forum as of late and it's really got to stop. Not only are your life stories sad and tedius, they utterly lack originality and creativity. In short, they are boring as fuck. In fact, the life stories and the sob stories have merged into one huge miasma of pedestrian dreck that no one really cares about; even though many somehow feel obligated to tell you how sorry they are. They are lying.

So please. If you're coming on the Live forum to give us the low down, use a little creativity. For instance:

"My wife left me and took our cat and now I'm really sad and I can't play music anymore."

-could easily be turned into-

"My wife of 15 years was actually a man and that's maybe why my ass has been hurting all this time but she's left now and I miss him."

It must be great to have such a perfect life that you can't even spare one considerate thought or goodwill to someone else. I thought there was a better spirit of kinship around this place.

And I thought the 80s was the f**king pinnacle of greedy consumerism, hedonism and self interest.

If you don't want to read about it, then just IGNORE the bleeding thread - simple, innit ! This is stock response to any other off topic thing. DO you think it's easy to post these personal things here and know that you are making yourself a target of ridicule for a bunch of insensitive a$$holes.

If you don't want to listen or help, then it's quite simple - just f**k off and play with your friggin Launchpad.

This is the Ableton forum - it's pretty much open season for everything off topic. I come for the on topic threads too, and if I don't wish to participate in a 'cheese or muffins' or 'my wife left me' or 'my wife is seriously ill' then I just stay out of the thread. It's different when it's someone popular on the forum - when Neb asked for prayers for his wife who was very sick, most people rallied round and anyone telling him to f**k off would have roundly been flamed like a wiener at a weeny roast. I was proud that many people responded kindly to him.

So frankly, I DON'T CARE that YOU don't care. Jeebus.
