It seems everytime(9 times) I have been trying to render a particular Abelton file to disk, the file stops at 51% and the software or computer freezes. What's the deal with this? Can anyone provide suggestions? I want to export this to a wav file. Is 24bit, 4800 sample rate, and 177.1.1 legnth song too big?

WinXP
IntelCeleron 2.8ghz
HP pavilion ze5730

Hi weaveofkev,

which version of Live do you use?

4.0.3

It seems that if I take off several plugins... the file will render to disk. Of course I would rather keep what I had originally, instead of settling for less.

Does it matter which ones you take off? Maybe it's a problem with Live rendering to disk while using certain plugs? Which plugs are you using, and which ones are you taking off? I'd like to give it a try if I can...

I was using other VST plugins but decided to stick with Ableton'sn to be safe.
I am still having the problems though. Ableton's reverb plug-in seems to suck up the CPU. If I take that off I have a better chance of rendering to disk. The more is take away from the song the better chance I have to render. That makes me sad.

Hi weaveofkev,

do you have a Live set (only with Ableton effects) where you always get these render problem? I asked because what we need here to fix is to get it reproducible.

Alex

Hi weaveofkev,

do you think you can make a saved as self-contained Live set with a size of some MB so you could send it to us? Or are the used audio files in your Live set really large?

Alex
