Hello.

I'm having trouble getting my Oxygen 8 (v2)'s transport controls working in Live 8. It has the usual loop, rewind, forward, stop, play and record buttons - which I'd like to use. In Preferences, in the MIDI/Sync section, I have the 'Oxygen8v2' set as a Control Surface, with the Input and Output set to the same device. I have the Oxygen8 come up as a MIDI Port as Input and have Track and Remote switched On. But this doesn't seem to do anything.

Also, is there a way of globally having the 8 encoders on the Oxygen8 permanently wired to Macro 1-8?

Your settings all sound correct. What version of Live 8 are you running? According to the changelog for 8.0.9, there was an Oxygen-related fix there... So try 8.0.9, and if that doesn't work for you, maybe post in the Support forum...

If you're gonna use the Oxygen 8 only to play some plugins and/or manage Live controls, you won't need to setup Midi output...in other words :
1.Control surface Oxygen 8 v2
2.Midi input Oxygen 8 or whatever your system calls the device.
3.Midi port Input : Oxygen 8 > Remote: ON
That's it, anything else is not necessary to setup. Having off what you don't really use is better for the system, the program,etc.

Thanks both for the feedback. Atomikat, this is what I have setup. But it's just not working?

I'm wanting to use the keys on the Oxygen8 to play whatever track I've got armed, wanting the 8 knobs/encoders to be used generically on all macro 1-8s for any audio devices I setup (is that possible?) and having the transport controls setup to play/stop/etc Ableton.

I have the latest version of Live and the latest M-Audio Oxygen8 v2 driver... ?

Try resetting the Oxygen...

I'm having the same problem but I don't see a data button on my oxygen v2? I see data nest to the f# key???

I think preset 10 is the Ableton Control Surface preset on the Oxygen, btw...

Got it! Dah? I was looking for a button named 'Data' not realizing that the data butars ARE the - and + buttons.

I reset my Oxygen and now suddenly the Oxygen is completely mapped to all of Abletons' controls. Sheesh...am I stupid...I've been living with it not working for probably a couple of years.
