Ableton Forum

im new to ableton, I want to record a long riff but ableton only makes me record a couple of bars then it lopps so i end up record over the stuff i recorded...Is there any settings i can tweak??

Record Arm your track and then press the little rec button in the session view and Live should record to infinity.

My guess is you created a clip first and then recorded into it. Try recording into a blank clip. It'll create a new clip that goes on and on.
