Hi guys.
I'm seriously thinking of buying a launchpad. I see that it comes with a bundled version of Live and I also know that there are some restrictions in track and scene numbers, drum rack editing and so on. Great. But I can't find any infos about the Library this version come along. Is it something very limited like in Live LE/Lite? Does it come with any further virtual instrument? Loops? Drum racks? Samples?

I've seen it, that's the comparison chart. But what I'm asking (and I think it's not reported in the chart) is the quality/quantity of the Library which comes along with the Launchpad.
So, I make the question easier... Is it the same library as the one (very limited) coming with Live Lite/LE?

nope, it has:
LOOPMASTERS SAMPLE PROMO
- DRUM N BASS-BREAKS-DUBSTEP (19 directories)
- FUNK-JAZZ-ROCK-PERCUSSION (10 directories)
- HIP HOP-RNB-DOWNBEAT (11 directories)
- HOUSE (20 directories)
- TRANCE TECHNO (8 directories)

the directories are loop libraries, many with names of famous producers and bands on them.

then a MIKE THE DRUMMER directory with more content.

it's different than what you get with Live, I haven't checked it out yet.

what is the upgrade price to live 8 after you purchace launchpad. i think i would like the drum rack, slicing, warping capabilities that the lauchpad software doesnt have.

it can vary but suffice to say it's certainly worth it to register your launchpad version and upgrade from this. This is how I attained my licensed copy of Live....via the lite version that came w/my MPK 25

but still dont see the upgrade price from launchpad software to live 8. i see the upgrades from lite,intro upgrade to live 8, but not from launchpad or apc40 software to live 8.

you will need to first register the software to your Live account. Once this is done you will be able to view upgrade pricing.

I'm getting a launchpad in a few days to a week from now. This thread is a little out of date, but the content is still pretty valid IMO. I'll post the upgrade price when it arrives.
