Overriding the righthand lessons pane with your own content?

Hello again.

I seem to *in a very misty fashion* remember there was some sort of way of overriding the righthand lesson pane in Live with your own content? I'm wanting to use that space to list some of my own custom made templates for live stuff, beat stuff, tune stuff etc...

I remember somehow you can use your own HTML to do this... Is this true? Or am I lying to myself?

FINE.

You'll miss me though.

Seriously - anyone know how to do this?

that would be totally cool to have that spot to enter notes and such instead of that little window to the bottom left..

I'm pretty much sure someone did it. Imagine having all your templates for your different setups and notes for them, there on the right... Pop it up and open it up... I'm sure someone did this, but I just can't remember if I made it up (though I'm 92.4% I didn't :) )

eh, if you smoked up during that time, sadly your percentage is probably around 10%.. depending on what you smoked, that number might go down even more.. lol.. :D

but seriously hopefully you didn't just make this up because that would be cool..

I ain't got time to properly look into it tonight...

But (on a Mac anyway) if you 'Show Package Contents' of the Live app and look in 'Contents'/'App-Resources' and then into 'Builtin Lessons' there is all the lessons for the panel in there, with text files and graphics. The text files seem to have a funny markup - but I reckon it could be done you know.

I do (vaguely!) remember a blog post on doing it proper so it's all nice and tight to put in what you want (links to your template setups etc) but fuck knows where...

Anyone want to investigate this further? I just can't look more tonight...

 maybe if you change the thread title to big boobies or something you'll get more thread views which might hopefully translate into a prompt answer.

Anybody?

Im thinking that panel would be very handy as a live set notes/prompt/cue list area :)

Yeah, definitely.

I think that blog link that delicioso just put up maybe the answer... It's just my mate Tom was just on about today having a template place where you can load up different templates depending on what your doing... Like a live setup, or a production setup, or a beat making setup, or whatever.

I do remember a blog post (even older than the one delicioso put up, but that exact sorta thing) and then it sorta makes sense. You surely can list the Ableton set files/templates in the lessons panel, with some notes to go along with it, and bobs your daddy's brother.

Resources > Builtin Lessons > TableOfContents > DefaultToc Lessons

Look at the text files in that folder
