Demo won't play...

BJ Leiderman of NPR fame? If not, I apologize. I used to help out Terry Gross with research assistance in my college days...
Anyway, if you are not hearing sound, make sure "soundsticks" are selected in your audio out preferences. You may have to restart Live for them to show up as a selection. That *should* do it. If not, maybe try unplugging them. They've been known to sometimes give glitchy playback.
Welcome! It's a really awesome program, a great "hands on" company, and a caring and supportive group of users.

Thanks for the suggestions. Soundsticks are selected in Sound Control Panel, and they are working (I can play MP3 files), but still no sound.
BTW, I am NPR's composer. College days....how do you remember your college days????

how about your Live settings? Under Options->Preferences->Audio
Under "Output Device", is "Soundsticks" selected? It should not say "Built-in audio controller". There is a little arrow there to toggle between the output devices.
Man, I want this product to work for you! I would love to hear what you could do with it. And our artists profile section could use a bit of diversity!

Yes, college....Ellen Silva (future TOTN producer, whom I'm guessing you know) was one of my dearest college buddies...spectacular woman. Lots of dedicated people in the Philly office.
