sometimes when starting up live it says, "cannot delete audiocheck.cfg" and, "cannot delete midicheck.cfg" and then crashes. any idea why this happens? deleting the prefs seems to fix it, but how do i avoid it in the first place?

Hi bluskreen,

"audiocheck.cfg" and "midicheck.cfg" are files Live creates and deletes before an Audio or MIDI interface is opened. After the successful opening of an Audio or MIDI interface these files are deleted again.
So if they exist when Live starts up it indicates that there was a problem last time when accessing an Audio or MIDI interface.

When you get these error messages about "cannot delete audiocheck.cfg" and, "cannot delete midicheck.cfg", is it possible to delete these files manually?

regards,
Alex
