Newbie questions

Hi all -

Just downloaded Reason demo a few days ago, and have been playing w/ the demos, tutorials, etc.

A couple of questions:

1) I cannot seem to define a "MIDI OUT" setting in the MIDI Preferences - is this a limitation of the Demo? I've chosen "MOTU EXpress XT" as my input (and my Digi002 is also listed there), and although all these are listed in the "output" section, they are greyed out.

2) I love the way that "CLIPS" can be selected on the fly, and they are "cued" up to play once the current-playing "CLIP" is finished. Is it possible for "SCENES" to work the same way?

In the tutorial, when I click the "Chorus" scene, it jumps there pretty quickly, even if the Verse isn't quite finished ...

I'm looking for a way to make the "scenes" go into a "que" just like the clips.

My application would be in a "live worship" setting, where I've programmed the accompaniment trax/sequence to a worship song, and I'm playing along with it, singing ... If I decide I want to do the "Chorus" again "on the fly" - I'd like to be able to re-cue that "scene" at any point so that it will seque right back to it ...

The way it seems to be working now is that when I click the scene's "play triangle" is jumps right there.

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance,
Fred

PS: I realize I could create an "arrangement", but that would disable me from making changes "on the fly", correct ... I like the "cue" idea, so i wouldn't have to hit the "play" button at the "perfect time" for it to sound right.
