I'm holding off until some early adopter informs us on this forum in a ranting rampage post how they paid full price and now Ableton is offering some sweet deal to noobs.

wifey is totally supportive. she bought my Launch Pad and APC. I told her about this a few weeks ago, she's cool with it since she's seen me use max over the years. it's funny, her coworkers were asking HER about the C74 collab. that was a weird e-mail to get.
been working on a step sequencer for the Launch Pad. so far I have note-in to lay down notes and I can scroll lights on the LP to show which step is playing and it syncs with Live's tempo and start/stop. I hit a snag and I think I have to do the I/O with the Live API instead of regular midi.
try the demo and just look at the sample content, tons of stuff, lots of patches to explain how to do stuff in max4Live.
people have been really supportive in the beta forum, people are sharing patches and the videos at
http://www.max4live.info are very very well done and geared for n00bs.

bought m4l today. pretty CPU efficient so far. happy to have the little pluggos back ... m4l sounds organic, a living soundscape full of randomness. this is @#$%ing awesome! i'm already addicted.

Same here. I'll wait a while for the resident geeks here to stockpile some nice gadgets with it, then I'll bite.

that argument is lame. when Grand Theft Auto IV came out it gave me more things to do than make music.
calling card of the pussies. in Tim's case, lesson learned.

nice attitude Anubis, makes me NOT want to put stuff out there for free. get it?
I'm in a whole world of inner turmoil right now with Modern Warfare 2 sitting in front of my TV and two remixes I need to do :S

I usually get a new game around the holidays then I take extra days off, stop shaving and showering and get way too into a game. haven't touched the PS3 since February.
looks pretty cool, damnit.

dunno about those war games though, seeing news about real wars wears me out. for some reason killing prostitutes in GTA for petty cash doesn't bother me.
then again, NOBODY is waiting for me to remix a damn thing. respect where respect's due.
