Hello Everyone,

Just got MFL and joined the forum for the first time. I wondered if anyone has combined the Step Sequencer patch yet with the Control Surface patch, so you can actually control the midi notes in the step sequencer from a launchpad or APC ??

it's in the Live lessons that are stored in your library, #14 I think. the lesson is clearly labeled. lots of good stuff in there. last week I opened the first lesson and ended up tinkering with that every night after work, that's all I did, fun stuff.

found it thanks! there's so much going on here, gotta take it easy...

hmmm! I found the lessons but i only see 13 for m4l and nothing about control surface ??

same here; cs step sequencer only exists as a lesson demo, not as a true instrument you might find in Live devices. I found the cs step sequencer max patch in the lessons folder in the Live Library.

Don't know if you guys need this at all, but stb posted it in the M4L Beta forum for the CS Step Sequencer

it's all built into the software.

there's GREAT help on max4Live, max, msp and jitter in the max window, click help.

there's also max4Live help lessons in the Live library.

Thanks for the links Tone. I was exploring M4L earlier today and my head was spinning Hopefully this will help. Dig the music thought too.

I took the plunge and got M4L... now... the question is... how the hell do i access the APC step sequencer? been trying to find it, but nothing about it in the lessons. Shit is really doing my head in

In the Library look under Lessons\8-MaxForLive Category\14-CS Step Sequencer Lessons\

and load "CS Step Sequencer.amxd"

i only see 13 lessons in my folder.
