I'm using Ableton Suite upgraded to version 8.1
I've downloaded and installed the latest version of MAX from Cycling 74
I installed the Live Pack from the Max support folder.

I was expecting to be able to try out M4L in demo mode but I can't see it anywhere.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, there's no official demo mode available for Max for Live right now, but it will come in the near future.

Disappointing, but thanks for the info.

Apparently, there is still no availeable demo, altough a guy wrote he managed to open max 4 live stuff when his ableton was in demo mode too.
But how to switch your license off ?

Too bad there is no demo for M4L, I just want it to spend the time and learn until i can finally buy the crossgrade license in some weeks.

Would it be too easy too just port Max 4 live patches to Max or Pluggo and export them or use them with Jack ?

i have the same problem.. and i would like to ask the support " is the near future" allready now ?

I am using Live 8.1.4 ( autorised) and after download from Cycling website and installation, there is nothing new under the "Devices Menu left top"

If i try to open the file "BuildingBlocks_Holder.als" from the Lessions, all max devices are just deaktivated.. ;(

why ? how to test Max for live without buying ?

Maybe Cycling can create a serial for 30 days..?

Yes is starts in demo mode with a popupwindow. ok. but whats up with full functional? Max as "standalone" works fine, i think. i can open files and test something.. but not via Ableton Live.. only direct in max.

i just started today..

maybe i have a mistake and i am too stupid to open a maxpatch via ableton.. ;(
