If I am in arrangment view, at end of song, and I want all 7 tracks playing at end to continue looping another 8 bars (for a fade, for example), is there a quick way to grab a hold of all 7 tracks and extend them?

Select the end of all of the last clips and just drag them out.

Thanks. That's what I've been doing.

But if the song has 35 tracks, then I am doing that maybe 15 separate times for the final part of song.... just to extend song 8 bars. Anf of course user must find all of the trcks that are active at that time. And ther will be occasions when a track or two is missed, and not extend like the others. There must be a command to select all active tracks at a certain timeline to drag them to right.

select the top clip, hold down shift, select bottom clip.

drag ends of clips.

or, alternatively, draw a bounding box around the whole lot (use the zoom function in prefs if you cant see everything) and drag the clip ends.

Why wasnt that zoom option in the corner of the window o at least somewhere more useful!

Yeah I agree, it needs to be a standard function accessible at all times.

It's been requested in the wishlist a few times i think.

Is it even MIDI mappable? I assume not with out some sort of workaround or "hack".

If its just the 7 tracks playing, why not just highlight them all and hit 'duplicate time'?

once i detected the "do ... time" features, i use them most of the time, very handy.

I was looking to extend the tracks on both ends, with silence, to keep the length of each track the same on both sides.

What I was looking for is: Consolidate.

If your tracks are within a loop, select the track or tracks from the beginning of the loop, to the end of it and right click Consolidate: CMD + J.

Magic.
