Could someone please tell me why my sampled clips are "Offline?"

I know it first happened when I tried to save my Live Set, and this window pops up asking if I wanted to trash my Temp files, and now I song is ruined because those files are now MISSING!

Anyone please HELP! Thnx!!!

Yes, I have the same problem:

1. Start a new live set. Record something (in my case with a microphone).
2. Save for the first time, Live copies the temp files over and asks if the temp files can be deleted.
3. Say 'yes, delete'.
4. Live reports those files as missing, automatic search through the library and project folders don't help.

5. What's worse, setting the "Search folder" location to point to the ableton library location and then searching causes Live to freeze while searching.


Live 8.1 with M4L, installed yesterday.
WinXP 32bit SP3

What's really disappointing is my beats were hot with those now missing files... What in the world is going on?

Logic and ProTools always have those files backed up....

And why in the world would that window prompt come up in the first place? It should be automatic or smart... the program that is...

BTW I now have Live 8. This issue needs to be resolved ASAP!!!

Ok, the automatic library search actually finds the missing files.

But it's still annoying that everytime you save a new project for the first time after making a recording, Live forgets their locations just after moving them to the appropriate folder. Seems like a very small bug (a path issue maybe?).
