I'm going to add descriptions to that list (I'm the one who typed it out) when I have some spare time.

Honestly, with what I can gather of you from your recent forum posts, I don't think Max would be for you. It's for people who want to have complete control over how they compose instead of just using pre-fab sounds and instruments.

Reaktor has a huge pre-existing library, and that sounds like what you need. Something you don't have to put much thought into.

okay descriptions not so important
if u are familiar with them pluggs is easier just to answer my question no?
maybe best response is from a person who owns both?
i am interested in nice reverbs and synthesizers
so is there not so much nice and many like reaktor ?
i think max is not so good for these types of instruments and effect?

I do own both.

Max is good for anything Reaktor can do an much more. But you have to build it yourself.

The design philosophy behind Max has always been about leaving as many options as possible up to the user, not making decisions for them. Max for Live comes with plenty of effects and instruments from the Pluggo set as well as building blocks for making larger devices.

Other than that, your English is so bad it's hard to understand what those last couple of "sentences" were supposed to mean.

Reaktor makes building high level structures easier, and NI took great care of providing ready to use content to their customers.
MAX allows to go far deeper in detail but for the price of more complexity. Currently there are not many "finished" MAX patches out there that are just plug and play. However, I am very confident this will change with MaxForLive.

For now the answer to your initial question is: There are a lot of great Reaktor synths and Reverbs out there and not much of that "content" for MAX.
If you need finished plug ins, go Reaktor. If you know what you want to do and have enough knowledge about DSP, go MAX and build your own stuff.

I plan to make a few basic, well documented Max For Live devices public on the Monolake website. They should give you an idea about how things could work in MAX. I just had no time to do so yet :-(

thank u henke
im some surprised by difference of the amount of finished and nice instruments/effect because max has been around for years allready by now
i can only seem to find chaotic and random type effect by max
not so much beautiful synth or reverb like reaktor
okay!

Is this for theatre work or for personal? I know some people have put together amazing things for theatre using Max, but again it is very very complicated.

For just a huge variety of premade effects and synths I'd go with Reaktor.

Surely there are lots of premade stuff for Max too? Well, Max users seem to usually go for more experimental kind of stuff, but as Robert says that will probably change with M4L.
