major slowdown problems with drum rack, live8.1

anyone getting the same issue i am getting?
The whole session slows to a crawl and same if i save and reload the project
i systematicly have tried deleting all the channels to find the cause, and it's always Drum Rack, i delete it and the set returns to normal performance
also after further mucking around i found i just needed to delete the one kick sample that coincidently i had just replaced before i got the problem. I Undo deleting the kick and funnily enough the problem comes back.
One time this happened Windows blue screened, to lives credit the ui serious dies a horrible death before the sound does
More info:
Windows 7 64 bit, 4GB RAM on a 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Quad (yeah yeah i know i'm asking for it by using windows 7)
Live 8.1
Plugins: massive, absynth 5, Kontakt 3, Camel Phat, Camel Space, Simpler, Drum Rack
at least know i've found out what to do when it happens (delete the offending drum rack), but this is a pain as i am a midi person
